United We Stand is a youth lead, Toronto and GTA movement that is focused on the Pursuit of Higher Education. Youth and City Facilitators bring educational change to their city and communities in an enjoyable, understandable and sustainable way.

75 youth in conjunction with 12 city facilitators endeavor to create new pathways to higher education by informing themselves and their communities of the issues surrounding social, financial and environmental that hinder their progress towards post secondary education. All youth and city facilitators will be required to attend 6 bimonthly meetings where 1 of 4 issues (Why Pursue Higher Education, Creating an Educational Environment, Social Services Education and Student Financial Education) will be presented through various mediums such as workshops, theatrical performances, and hands on experience. The first issue of “why purse higher education” will be developed and implemented by facilitators and program developers, while 3 separate committees, each comprised of 25 youth and 4 city facilitators will present the preceding issues In addition to presentations and workshops, each group will be allotted a trip of their choice that pertains to their topic. Upon successful completion of this project youth will receive an honorarium, scholarship, community service hours, certificates of merit, and community recognition; facilitators will receive honorariums, certificates of merit, awards chosen by youth, secular recognition, and city recognition. Each participant will receive many intangible benefits such as a raised sense of worth and purpose as well as the knowledge, power and ability to give back to their city and communities.
